- Mercer moves offices to be closer to its key clients
- Foster collaboration with the greater Marsh & McLennan Group in South Africa
Mercer, a global consulting leader in advancing health, wealth and careers and a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies (NYSE: MMC), has moved its South African office from Brooklyn, Pretoria to the Marsh building located in the Alice Lane Precinct, Sandton.
“This move places us right at the centre of South Africa’s economic hub, Sandton's Central Business District, where many of our blue chip clients are located. It also brings us closer to the Marsh & McLennan Group, which will help us foster greater collaboration across the group so we are better placed to fulfil the holistic needs of our clients,” said Nicolette Hendricks, CEO South Africa at Mercer. Hendricks was appointed in August this year to focus on growing Mercer’s business in South Africa and rest of the continent.
The Marsh building is within a walking distance of the Sandton Gautrain Station, which is a 15-minute link to O R Tambo International Airport. It is also in the vicinity of upmarket hotels and a great selection of fine dining restaurants. The building holds a 4-Star Green Star SA Office V1 Design certification.
